this is a wing for UWB modules – used for internal 3D positioning use cases (where GPS cant get signal). 3D position is notoriously hard to do, and these modules seem to be what most people use. we got some Qorvo https://www.qorvo.com/ DWM1000 samples mid last year and they’ve sorta been sitting on our sample shelf for a bit. we got a request to make a featherwing and it reminded us of this half-unfinished design. so we wrapped it up today. the module uses classic SPI, and there’s 4 extra pins in case you want to use it in low power mode. thankfully there’s a bunch of arduino libraries out there. now there’s even a DWM3000 update, but thankfully they seem to be pin compatible. have you used UWB positioning modules successfully? // Read more: original article.
