There was a brief period of time when journalism was so literate, so energetic, so raw, and so funny that the truth of its reporting was difficult to resist. The original Gonzo journalist was the legendary Hunter S. Thompson. And there is, now, in this world, an art exhibit that celebrates the work of the original Gonzo journalist with an ASCII tribute. A random paragraph from Fear and Loating in Las Vegas is selected, then every letter is typed on screen with a typewriter animation and sound. When the paragraph comes to an end, a selected ASCII art Hunter S. Thompson picture is displayed. The loop starts all over again with a new paragraph and a new picture.
