Lenovo has launched four new models of ThinkPad workstations.

These laptops were designed in partnership with Intel, Micron and NVIDIA to offer up the best possible performance for AI developers on the go.

The laptops sport NVIDIA RTX Ada GPUs which are said to offer great performance for AI workloads.
Developers looking for something beefier to complete their artificial intelligence workloads may want to cast an eye over Lenovo and what it’s cooking up.

The manufacturer has launched its latest generation of ThinkPad’s namely the ThinkPad P1 Gen 7, ThinkPad P16v i Gen 2, ThinkPad P16s i Gen 3, and the ThinkPad P14s i Gen 5. These workstations have been designed in collaboration with Intel, NVIDIA and Micron to create a tool for those creating AI solutions.

The laptops sport Intel Core Ultra processors paired with NVIDIA RTX Ada graphics cards. A Neural Processing Unit is integrated into the system which handles lights, continuous AI tasks. This means that when you need the grunt of the Ada GPU, you get to utilise its full potential. Lenovo says that AI workloads can take advantage of the combined power of the GPU, CPU and NPU.

“Designed with mobile-first professionals in mind, the newest Lenovo ThinkPad P series mobile workstations offer an ideal combination of workstation know-how, high levels of AI-ready performance, and true mobility,” Rob Herman, vice president of the Worldwide Workstation and Client AI Business at Lenovo said in an announcement. “Representing the pinnacle of workstation innovation, the new ThinkPad P series laptops are built to power creative professionals, engineers, and data scientists through complex workflows, wherever they need to be.”

While specifications differ from model to model in this new ThinkPad P1 series there are some features that are shared such as WiFi 6E support, biometric access in the power button and, privacy shutters for the embedded webcams.
