TECNO is readying to launch its latest entry-level device, with the Spark Go 2024 set to debut next month.
It will go on sale locally at TFG stores, with free gifts valued at R300 also on offer while stocks last.
TECNO has also hinted that more affordable devices will be landing in SA soon.
TECNO has announced the impending local release of a new entry-level smartphone in the form of the Spark Go 2024.
This latest device is slated to officially debut at the middle of next month, with TECNO partnering exclusively with a group of retailers for its launch. To that end, the Spark Go 2024 will be available via TFG stores from 14th May, with it carrying a recommended price tag of R1 999.
“The successor to last year’s, well-received SPARK GO 2023 device boasts plenty of upgrades from its predecessor, including faster functionality, enhanced audio, and an even more stylish design,” highlighted TECNO in a release shared with Hypertext.
It is also priced substantially less than last year’s Spark Go model.
Back to this year’s iteration and its biggest selling points are the large 6.6″ HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and even larger 5 000mAh battery that supports 10W fast charging.
Added to this is an octal-core Unisoc processor, up to 8GB of RAM, 4GB of which is available via extended RAM, along with a sizeable 128GB of storage. All of this, however, depends on the internal setup you opt for from local TFG stores.
TECNO adds that if you buy this new smartphone, you will also receive free gifts valued at R300, while stocks last. “Other TECNO devices are also available from select retail partners, including Ackermans, Dunns, Edgars, Game, HiFi Corp, Jet, Makro, Mr Price, PEP, Pick n Pay, Shoprite, TFG, Vodacom and Woolworths(availability varies per retailer per product and while stocks last).”
“New devices from TECNO are also on the way to South Africa soon, so be on the lookout for those,” it added.
